This full-time individual contributor role is accountable for achieving sales benchmarks and profitability goals. Work requires extensive inbound sales chats and calls and ongoing nurturing of customer relations. The role is responsible for customer growth within assigned division(s) or territory.

This position reports to the Director - Customer Experience.

Duties:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Successfully perform all functions of the sales cycle with existing and potential customers through effective phone, email, and live chat interactions
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying prospective customers and districts, overcoming objections, and establishing and maintaining customer relations
  • Engage with lapsed customers to discover professional development needs
  • Develop and present personalized product recommendations based on unique customer profile
  • Engage in customer conversations that gain insight into the professional development and continuing education landscape
  • Efficiently perform all tasks relative to the order intake process
  • Detail customer interactions in the database and/or CRM system
  • Enter prospective customer data in the CRM system
  • Actively generate individual, group, and district sales
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams to share opportunities and challenges
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Teams to continuously enhance and develop innovative marketing and messaging collateral
  • Work diligently to ensure customer experiences are 100% positive
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional consultative sales skills
  • Strong presenter with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, able to relate positively and professionally with prospective learners and business colleagues
  • Ability to think and act strategically and adjust to meet the needs of the business
  • Team player with high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • A life-long learner, open to receiving feedback to improve upon results
  • A driven professional who works independently while maintaining the utmost integrity
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Experience creating and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communicator

  • Proficient in multiple computer programs and database applications
  • Track record of successful job performance

Experiences/Education required:

  • AAS degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
  • Consultative inside sales of a complex or intangible product offering
  • Collegiate admissions or academic advisement experience is highly preferred
