Position Overview:

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements while managing the day-to-day activities of the Processing Department and directing activities of the Members. This candidate will be responsible for the results of this line on all shifts and be tasked with driving their Members to meet all goals in Safety, Quality, and Production.

• Effectively lead the Processing Department in the areas of safety, quality, and performance by providing guidance and support to front line members.
• Rotate as lead in the Trace line area, Rib room and main area as instructed by Coach.
• Evaluate and coordinate training needs and efforts of production team members required for the current production processes and integrate quality and safety training standards.
• Optimize labor resources to maximize results on training, development, and department goals.
• Effectively manage member relations with the team and members.
• Effectively conduct team meetings and drive daily improvement.
• Complete daily performance reports and shift paperwork.
• Effectively communicate expectations, needs, and information to members and resources.
• Lead process improvement initiatives on the line.
• Monitor progress of team in four critical success areas (safety, quality, cost and productivity).
• Develop and execute improvement plans in all four critical success areas.
• Be able to create and promote a team environment, manage conflict, and resolve current issues.
• Be able to physically push, pull, lift 75 pounds. Position requires standing, walking, and other physical activities 8-12 hours shifts.
• Efficiently manage all aspects of safety on the line; address issues with safety immediately.
• Successfully utilize our SAP business management system to complete mandated paperwork and close out production paperwork for the day.
