We have a great opportunity at our Showcase cafe in Bellevue, WA for a Lead Pastry Cook (5:30am – 2:00pm). This isn’t just a typical pastry position – as part of our corporate dining team for one of the largest social media companies in the area, you'll consistently produce and finish pastries and desserts representing a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world, alongside other department cooks and managers in a beautiful state of the art kitchen!

Pay range: $20.00 - $24.00, based on skill, experience, and/or education.

What Your Day Look Like:

• This role provides a great opportunity for continuous learning. Our menus change DAILY! On our team you'll support breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. We aim to serve a wide variety of styles and cuisines! Some of the products that we produce include: cookies, cakes, yeasted doughs, quick breads, dairy-based desserts, laminated doughs, and vegan items.
• Our goal is to maintain a high level of quality, so it's so important in our roles to adhere to recipes and methods set by our super knowledgeable Pastry Chef!!!
• You may also engage with our dining guests with information on the menu served: including flavor profiles, allergens, and history of the dish.

What we're looking for:

• 1 – 3 years of experience
• Basic knowledge of the building blocks of pastry
• High-volume restaurant and or catering setting experience is super ideal in this role as we operate in high volume!
• Willingness to learn and be reliable
• Sense of urgency and ability to work with a team in a safe manner
• Must have a valid King County Food Handler Permit within 10 days of starting
• Must have non-slips shoes in the kitchen
• Must complete all required trainings Learn, Legal, and Privacy
• Ability to understand and communicate basic English (speaking, writing, reading)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and balance to perform job tasks
• Ability to successfully pass a background check, in accordance with Washington State's Fair Chance Employment Act, RCW chapter 49.94
