The Lead Direct Support Specialist is responsible for the following:

• perform professional and supervisory duties in planning, implementing, and overseeing training programs in the day program for the people with disabilities that we serve
• assists Program Manager in planning work schedules and monitoring goals and objectives for consumers;
• assigns duties and supervises direct support staff;
• Oversees training and PSP’s;

Job Responsibilities include:

• Protects rights of people served by RSD according to agency and state policies and reports all violations as required by policy;
• Individuals’ PSPs
• Assists Program Manager on communication with DDP, Case Management, and corporation committees, etc., in relation to behavior intervention programs, emergency procedures, rights restrictions, etc.
• Reporting, Record Keeping, Documentation
• Consumer care
• Supervisory duties
• Accepts other job-related duties, as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications:

• Current Montana driver’s license & insurable driving record per RSD’s insurance criteria.
• Ability to pass background check

• Orientation

• First Aid
• Medication Certification
• MANDT
• College of Direct Support Tier I
• College of Direct Support Adv & PSP
