Job Summary: Laundry Room Attendant is responsible to ensure that room linens are laundered and that there is an adequate supply of linens available to meet the demands of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receive dirty linens from room attendants and separate linens and towels by type.

2. Wash, dry, fold and iron laundry following proper procedures.

3. Maintain the organization of the laundry room.

4. Follow all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations.

5. Assist room attendants and EVS, when needed.

6. Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests.

7. Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor with guests at all times, including during an unexpected situation or problem while trying to find a satisfactory solution.

8. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

9. Maintain linen levels on all three floors. Place clean linen in rooms as time permits.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

Educational/Experience: High School diploma/GED preferred. Hotel housekeeping or hospitality industry experience preferred.

Must be able to pass a background check.

1. Must be reliable, punctual, collaborative, and communicate effective with co-workers, managers, and guests.

2. Ability to work as directed by your supervisor, which may result in being scheduled anytime during a 24 hour period, 365 days a year based on business demands.

3. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

4. Ability to read, write and understand English.

5. Must maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.

6. Must be able to push and lift weight up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds with assistance.

7. Ability to sit, walk or stand for prolonged periods of time as required performing the assigned duties of this position.

8. Must be able to use hands, fingers or feel; and reach with arms or hands to perform the assigned duties of this position.

9. Specific vision abilities are close, distance, peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
