JOB TITLE: Laundry Attendant
REPORTS TO: General Manager DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
LOCATION: Omega Property FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Will be responsible for washing, drying, and folding all linens. Will need to be able to keep an inventory on cleaning supplies and discarded laundry. Also, will be responsible for keeping the laundry room and a few public areas clean.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens.
· Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
· All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school diploma; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
