ASCI has an upcoming opportunity for a full-time, experienced, cleared Language Screeners in Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to support Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) across multiple locations within U.S. Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) area of operations (AOR). Screeners background must be similar to skillsets of DoD Civilians of AFOSI (AFSC 7S071), Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Army CID, USAF AFSC 3P0X1 (Security Forces) with four (4) years law enforcement or investigations experience, or USA MOS 35L/M, 180A, 18F, 35E (Strategic Debriefer or individual with similar skill set) with a minimum of four (4) years field experience (not including training time).

Summary of Duties:
Screeners will work jointly with linguists and AFOSI providing support that is relevant to AFOSI's counterintelligence and counterterrorism missions in the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Conduct screenings, complete reports and do all necessary background checks on locally employed persons screened.
- Conduct screenings through an in-depth interview using AFOSI approved procedures; conduct records checks, biometric enrollment and use government furnished equipment
- Conduct screenings while adhering to USCENTCOM and USAFCENT security directives and their established standard operating procedures (SOPs); develop SOPs based on the local environment supported and the host nation processes and host nation requirements/laws; and the needs of the locally supported AFOSI units.
- Prepare and submit reports; if derogatory information is discovered it will be reported in a timely manner to the respective AFOSI and installation supported
- adhere to all security procedure and safeguarding of all information.
Experience and Skills
- Active Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current Passport
- Deployed experience in the CENTCOM area is preferred.
- Must be Category II (CAT II, SECRET), with a minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level three (3) proficiency in English and the supported language.
- No criminal record
- College Degree and at least 4 years of experience in Air Force law enforcement or Strategic Debriefing or military MOS's 35L/M, 180A, 18F, 35E or AFOSI (AFSC 7S071)
- Must be able to pass a standard physical
- Physically able to perform job duties
- Comply with all security requirements
- Comply with theater clearance, training, immunizations, and medical requirements
- Free of any communicable diseases
- Must possess binocular vision correctable to 20/30 (Snellen) and be free of color blindness
- Capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 15 feet with either ear with or without hearing aid
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must have experience with screening, screening tasks and/or investigative questioning techniques and knowledge of SIPRNet search engines and database retrieval tools, such as QueryTree and M3.
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/ Check/ Investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.
Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (i.e., Moderna or Pfizer) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (i.e., Johnson & Johnson). As a prospective employee, you will fall under this requirement and proof of vaccination will be needed for on-boarding, should you be selected. Limited exemptions for religious or medical reasons will be considered.
