Summary: The core objective of the assistant manager is to support the supply yard manager with daily operations, customer service and sales, and projects.

Job Duties:

• Provide on-site customer service and sales to ensure the best shopping experience.
• Support the maintenance of supply yard facility, including special projects and ongoing maintenance.
• Fully support the supply yard manager with all day-to-day operation and HR duties.
• Troubleshoot and train staff on the computer system and customer service issues.
• Work snow removal operations and sales in the winter months.

Measurables:

• Meet sales goals.
• Adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Maintain above 95% attendance.

Desired Experience and Education:

• 3+ years combined experience in retail sales, landscaping, or garden center operations.
• Experience in the Green Industry is preferred.
• Expert-level computer skills - Office suite and point of sale programs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving and criminal record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and cooperative demeanor always.

Works closely with: field managers, operations manager, crew leaders, mechanic, controller.

Direct Reports: (supervises, but does not have direct reports)

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
