The Landscape Crew Member will perform landscaping and related services required to install safe and attractive grounds to ensure our residential and commercial customers' vision for a beautiful landscape design comes to life.

Role and Responsibilites

• Operate a variety of equipment such as shovels, rakes, or saws to complete daily assignments
• Ensure proper hydration of lawns, trees, and plants using sprinkler systems, hoses, watering cans, or irrigation systems
• Collect and discard litter or other waste materials
• Maintain and edge sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other features; performs general cleaning
• Plan and cultivate lawns, turfs, or gardens and, based on landscaping designs, determines further work that should occur
• Deliver and spread topsoil and/or straw over newly seeded areas
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs or trees by spraying or spreading
• Install new landscaping materials and specialty features such as rock gardens, retaining walls, and decks and trims plant material as required for installation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education

• Basic understanding of landscaping practices and procedures

Preferred Skills and additional notes

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently, thoroughly and follow directions
• Thorough understanding of how to care for various types of lawns, greenery, and plants
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment including trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment and ability to use hands tools required for landscaping
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
• Must be 16 years of age or older
