RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General construction clean-up. Shoveling, lifting heavy objects, moving objects.
• Use hand tools
• Perform loading and unloading of power equipment, tools, materials, and debris each day to/from vehicles
• Serve in a helping capacity with projects you may not be familiar with.
• Provide proper clean up of the work area which includes gathering and removing litter
• Installation of drainage systems
• Installation of fabric, sod, decorative rock, mulch, etc.
• Installation of material according to design specifications in the allotted time.
• Assist in concrete installations, including but not limited to base preparation and concrete placement.
• Assist in masonry installations, including but not limited to base preparation and footer installations.
• Assist in construction installations, including but not limited to pergolas, sheds, arbors, fences, gates, tile, and decks.
• Perform other activities that may be temporarily or permanently assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Some prior landscaping/outdoor construction/masonry experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS

• Need valid drivers license/social security
• Have a good attitude and the ability to get along with others
• Be hardworking, punctual, and respectful.
• Take pride in your work.
• Have transportation to get to shop in South Austin; we’ll use our trucks to get to the job sites.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS(all required to be done for up to 8 hours or more a day):

While performing the essential duties of the job, the position requires physical abilities such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds, digging using a shovel. In addition, working conditions include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environment, extreme temperatures and weather conditions, lifting or carrying heavy objects.
