Job Description: Perform and report specifically ordered laboratory tests. Assist clinical personnel in promoting efficient operation of the laboratory and effective patient care. Provides day-to-day supervision of personal performing high complexity testing. $500 completion bonus when you successfully complete the 90-day probation period.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Maintain laboratory services in accordance with government standards and regulations established in the practice
• Perform quality control and proficiency testing
• Review results, report accordingly, resolve problems and discrepancies
• Maintain proficiency of instruments used in the laboratory
• Responsible for orientation and training of personnel in laboratory procedures according to Interlachen policy and CLIA and OSHA standards/regulations
• Review laboratory manual and maintains current CLIA/OSHA records and policies
• Promote a safe work environment using universal precautions
• Prepare specimens for transportation to outside laboratories
• Track results of specimens sent to outside laboratories
• Order supplies and inventory as needed for the laboratory
• Phlebotomy experience desired, but not required
• Clean/sterilize equipment as needed

Minimum Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Technology or
• Certification in the State of Florida as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technologist or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Lab science, Chemical or Biological Science.
