Lab Technician in Pittsville, WI. Starting $16.50 an hour, plus $1,000 sign on bonus.

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00a.m.-3:00p.m. / Tuesday, Thursday 5:45a.m.-2:45p.m.

The Lab Technician is responsible for carrying out lab activities determined by the QA/QC leads. Candidate must be knowledgeable of lab protocols and required safety procedures. Must demonstrate precision, accuracy, and care regarding all samples and tests performed. Knowledge of food quality tests a plus.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Perform lab activities as designated by the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager(s).
• Maintain proper food safety protocol (hair restraints and slip resistant footwear are required; earplugs, safety glasses and/or other PPE may be required).
• Learn standard operating procedures for working in the lab.
• Attend functions and events that promote the firm with clients, potential clients, and peers.
• Maintain the profitability of engagements by scheduling, monitoring, and developing staff members.
• Maintain familiarity with all team members and review assignments.
• Anticipate problem areas of engagements and questions resolutions to clients.
• Communicate progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to clients.

Work Environment:

• Hair restraints are required. Earplugs, safety glasses and or other PPE may be required.
• Ability to constantly stand/walk; climb stairs; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left or right hand.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with temperatures ranging from 55°-95°F.

Required education and experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid drivers license
