We are currently looking for a Full-time Lab Technician. This position is one of Eye Associates of New Mexico’s first opportunities to make a great impression. Help our team make that impression!

Job Duties May Include:

  • Work closely with our eye doctors and other technicians in providing care to our patients;
  • Perform various tests on patients (e.g., fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, slit lamp photography)
  • Provide various support functions to our doctors

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a caring attitude
  • Strong customer service skills by interacting in a friendly but professional manner and treating every patient with respect
  • Able to learn how to use and interpret various lab and testing equipment
  • Photographic and PC experience helpful
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel to other other Eye Associates' clinics as needed
  • Able to work a flexible about work schedule - this position can involve long hours. Our lab technicians work until all our patients have been seen
  • Able to maintain patient information confidentiality
  • Must be willing to work toward certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) and Registered Ophthalmic Ultrasound Biometrist (ROUB) status within our prescribed time frame
