Stewart's Shops Plant is looking for a Lab/QA Technician that can guarantee products are produced and distributed to the highest food safety and quality standards. Our lab techs test raw, intermediate, and finished products as well as collect and test environmental samples according to established procedures. Additionally, our technicians assist with investigations and conduct audits.

Duties:
- Collect and test product samples and environmental samples.
- Complete dilutions, run incubations, analyze microorganism growth.
- Facilitate investigational studies.
- Attain industry certifications (i.e., AOAC, HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense, ESHA).
- Acquire proficiency in all lab methods and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure product specifications are met according to company standards.
- Assist with root cause analysis.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of lab equipment.
- Actively contribute to continued improvement of laboratory systems.
- Perform internal audits of manufacturing.
- May assist with documentation control and regulatory.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (degree in science preferred but not required).
- Previous lab and/or manufacturing experience a plus, but not required.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a food allergen environment.
- Strong work ethic (Reliable, Team Mentality, Flexible).
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Full time position available.
- Schedule is Friday-Monday 7am-530pm, including some holidays.
- Total pay is $19/hour.
- Earn an extra $1 for all hours worked on Sundays.
