Title: Lab Quality Associate (Part time 10-12 hours)

Location: Durham, NC (Onsite)

Duration: 5 Months plus possible extension

Required Years of Experience: 3+ Years

Job Description:

• The Laboratory Quality Associate reports to Laboratory Quality Manager and performs the routine quality assurance activities to ensure the highest levels of technical and process excellence.
• This role will be based in Durham, North Carolina.
• Ensure the laboratory remains in compliance with testing and process SOPs.
• Monitor the accuracy of records and documentation from laboratory processes.
• Perform scheduled reviews of laboratory notebooks and logbooks, temperature logs, laboratory equipment and reagents, etc. and clearly and accurately record results and relay to laboratory staff.
• Data entry into the laboratory asset management system and the laboratory information management systems.
• Assist Laboratory Quality Manager with review of protocols, data and reports.
• Work with laboratory staff and Lab Quality Manager in preparation for accreditation audit, including gathering personnel records, filing training records,
• Other quality assurance duties as needed.

• Ability to understand FDA guidelines and regulations, ISO 17025 standard.
• Able and willing to wear protective equipment such as gloves, lab coats and safety glasses while performing duties in the laboratory, as well as adhere to laboratory dress code (no shorts, no open toed shoes, etc).

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in
• science, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or health related field required.
• ISO 17025 or laboratory quality assurance experience a plus.
• Tobacco experience is a plus.
