Job Purpose:

This position oversees laboratory operations in support of the overall Quality Management System at the Mars Fishcare site located in Chalfont, PA. The position is critical to assuring high quality and safe products that comply with product design specifications, meet or exceed customer and consumer expectations and are in compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related technical field
• 2+ years of lab experience
• Experience in Analytical Testing (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis)
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of benchtop chemistry experience
• ISO 17025 certification audit experience
• Method, process, and cleaning validation experience
• Experience with stability programs

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Performs site required laboratory testing and acts as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
• Responsible for laboratory oversight including but not limited to ordering lab supplies, updating SOPs and enforcing GMPs and safety guidelines.
• Lead annual ISO 17025 re-certification audits and ensure lab compliance to standard requirements.
• Coordinates and documents method, process, and cleaning validations in compliance with 21 CFR 210 and 211 as needed
• Supports improvement or investigative activities in collaboration with other Mars Fishcare departments (Operations, Commercial, Tech Services and R&D)
• Responsible for reporting and trending lab KPIs and initiating CAPAs when needed
• Maintain sampling schedules for testing programs including stability, cleaning verification, inactive testing, etc.
• Lead continuous improvement activities of laboratory operations
• Support Internal and External audit functions.
