Kitchen Helper/Cook

JOB SUMMARY:

Seeking Kitchen Personnel for a restaurant in the Kona Airport. As a Kitchen helper, you are expected to use cooking and knife skills skills to work in a fast paced environment while you prepare food. It is important to be a team player and maintain a sanitary environment so that you are able to prep and produce high quality meals for the customers.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Food Prep - Prepare all ingredients and chopping vegetables needed. Rotate food inventory.
• Short order cook - Utilize different kitchen tools to cook all meals in a safe and timely manner while making sure portions are accurate.
• Ensure that all food is fresh and the kitchen is clean and organized at all times.
• Bartending - Making and serving beverages to the customers.
• Make sure the counter is clean at all times.
• Performs all duties assigned by Manager while adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
• Follows Department of Health food safety guidelines.
• Frequent physical demands includeStanding for extended periods of time

Stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and bending.

• Committed to the work schedule created by management.
• Complete all other tasks requested by management to ensure exception service to customers.

Compensation: $17/hour

Fingerprinting and Background check will be conducted if postions is accepted by applicant.
