Position Classification: On-Site, Part-time, Temporary

Position Logistics: $70/hour, ~25-30 hours/week (8 am - 2:15 pm Monday-Thursday or Friday)

Position Overview

Tutor Corps is partnering with a local school district to provide on-site push-in support for kindergarten and 1st grade classes at a single school site (94085 Zip code). The instructor will work with classroom teachers to provide hands-on targeted support to kindergarten and 1st grade students in need of remediation in reading, writing, and math. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching kindergarten and 1st grade literacy and math and a willingness to collaborate flexibly with full-time teachers on staff. Requirements

  • Bachelorʼs degree
  • Teaching credential preferred but not required
  • Background check required
  • Experience tutoring or teaching kindergarten and 1st grade math and early literacy
  • Flexible and collaborative with fellow teachers
  • Commitment to full spring semester
  • A passion for supporting young learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities

Position Logistics

  • On-site support in 94085 zip code, Monday- Thursday or Friday, 8 am - 2:15 pm PT
  • Position duration: January 23, 2023 - June 7, 2023 with planned school breaks on federal holidays, Feb. 20-24 and April 17-21
  • $70/hour; 25-30 hours/week; ~$2100/week; ~$8400/month
