Junior Estimator Job at Baja Construction
Role and Responsibilities
Gather and prepare cost estimates for the design, engineering, materials, and installation of Baja Construction steel carport, RV canopies, Solar Support Structures and other steel canopies in support of and determining the price of project bid request.
· Organized by maintain records of bid log, estimated bids and actual costs
· Work with estimating team including 0perations to prepare estimates and bids for clients
· Prepare quote and proposal documents adjust work scope to match bid quotes
· Manage risk by Identifying factors affecting costs, such as material price increase, project location, etc.
· Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates as needed by providing reviewing estimates with estimating dept.
· Recommend ways to reduce costs
Qualifications and Education Requirements
AA or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
Ø Proficient in ability to read single line construction drawings and technical documents.
Ø Proficient in the use of Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Teams, pdf reader, BlueBeam or similar Adobie Acrobat DC programs. Knowledge of CAD, SAGE and google docs is not required but a plus
Ø Communicate and collaborate with engineers, operations, clients and contractors
Ø Takes directions and instructions well
Ø Reliable, dependable, and works well with others

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
