- Effectively investigate document and identify suspicious activity and use judgement for activity to determine if a SAR needs to be filed.
- Review monthly cash report and cashier's checks to identify structuring/unusual activity.
- Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) in line with decision taken by each branch.
- Send memos to branches for BSA Call Reports for any account for whom a SAR has been filed. Review/scan/log BSA Call Reports.
- Update Account Due Diligence on Yellow Hammer accordingly after filing a SAR on a customer.
- Review work/lists alters on transaction monitoring systems, Yello Hammer and Hplus, on a monthly basis. The purpose of these worklists is to detect any transactions indicative of money laundering/suspicious activity and analyze the nature of transactions. Escalate alerts to department head accordingly.
- Review and monitor system-generated alters for potential suspicious activity on a daily basis of Fraud Detective. Escalate alerts to department head accordingly.
- Create cases/tasks on Yellow Hammer and Fraud Detective to log documents/findings of transactions monitoring.
- Monitor and log transactions for $750,000 and above and ask brancehs to provide a Large Dollar Due Dilligence report to explain/support nature of transactions and source of funds.
- Review Currency Transaction Reports filled by the branches on a weekly basis. File with BSA E-Filing System Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.
- Assist and organize documetns for audit reviews.
- Any other duties assigned by the department head.
