Description of Group:
The Global Operations, Application Management Group is responsible for daily business operations support. The group supports system start up and shut down, change management and incident management, problem resolution, configuration management, application support, and application deployment. This includes Technical Operations and Application Monitoring of several platforms in a 24/6 environment. The team is also responsible for creating and maintaining operational documentation and following procedures in accordance with company and industry guidelines.

Essential/Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Certifications relevant for the role are meritorious.
  • Experience Required: 1 to 3 years.
  • A thorough operational understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems and Linux command line.
  • Advanced knowledge of Shell programming such as bash and Perl.
  • Broad knowledge of network topologies, security concepts and a strong knowledge of data communications (TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN’s, LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, Multicast).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a high pressure environment working with network and development teams.
  • Experience in low latency/high performance environment in a financial setting or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting real-time applications.
  • Financial Industry experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic in a mission-critical 24x7 diverse environment with multiple vendor/customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of any of the following would be beneficial: GIT, Puppet, Terraform
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and a rotational schedule

You will need the following skills and experience

  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or equivalent work experience in Data Center, Trading, Computer, or Network Operations.
  • Special Qualifications: Certifications relevant for the role are meritorious.

Please note this role will be hybrid based in Denver, CO. This will be for our second shift which is 12-9pm MT.

The base pay range for this role is $62,800 - $104,700. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
