Pay Range: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour. Based on experience.

Available Work Schedule (Full-Time)

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

What You Will Be Doing

We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The ideal candidate will assist with leadership and direction for Boundless Confections Connections, a wholesale training bakery. The Bakery Assistant will be responsible for the production of wholesale bakery products, including providing direction and training to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Bakery Assistant will ensure safety, adherence to, and compliance with DODD/ORC/CARF governing standards and food health and safety regulations.

• In conjunction with Bakery Operations Manager, provide oversight of the production of quality baked goods based on knowledge of and careful control of available resources
• Oversee cleaning activities to the highest safety and sanitation standards
• Responsible for transportation of individuals served to/from the bakery as well as deliveries of baked goods
• Provide daily vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to organize and prioritize position responsibilities and maintain accurate records
• Ability to establish positive relationships with peers and the community
• Ability to work independently on-site and in the community
• Willingness to travel to assigned locations and throughout the community
• Must be friendly, personable, caring, and creative
• Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs
• Must be able to maintain confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
• Teaching/Training experience. Job Coach experience

Licensure/Certification:

• Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant. (Training will be provided, if not already certified)
• Valid Ohio Driver's License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance; insurable driving record (five points or fewer)

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the physical ability to frequently stand, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., twist, bend, squat, stoop, and reach
• Must be able to frequently walk and drive within the community in conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather
