Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio has an immediate opening to fill a day shift custodial supervisor to assist in the daily operations of the travel rest stop facilities. This position is a working supervisor position scheduled Saturday/Sunday and necessary to be available 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Supervisor can be responsible as a floater to cover supervisor shift(s) Monday – Friday when available but not necessary. You must be detailed oriented and must be able to uphold company policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

• Maintains and cleans rest rooms, public traffic areas, lobbies, entrances and break rooms. Responsible for floor care and carpet care, trash collection and removal, window washing and wall cleaning.
• Responsible for carrying out the implementation of all grounds maintenance as contracted. This include seasonal duties such as mowing, fall leaves clean up/removal and snow removal and salt application during the winter months.
• Ability to work Saturday and Sunday, including holidays. Cover supervisor shift(s) during the weekday when available but not necessary.
• Responsible for safety issues at the job site, monitoring employees to insure proper safety procedures are followed including reporting of accidents, injuries and all safety hazards to supervisor.
• Assist the supervisor in keeping attendance of all crewmembers including reporting of absenteeism to Manager and verification of timecards.
• Reports any employee illness on the job to supervisor.
• Completes supplies and equipment requisition forms.
• Secures supplies and equipment at the end of each assignment.
• Delivers supplies, and trains employees on proper use of supplies.
• Schedules preventative maintenance on all equipment on a periodic basis.
• Reports any building and/or grounds maintenance issues to supervisor or Manager.
• Completes maintenance notices to supervisor to make customers aware of maintenance issues.
• Responsible for coordinating disciplinary actions, evaluations, and other personnel issues as needed with supervisor.
• Assist in the supervision of Custodial workers and crew leaders on site.

Qualifications:

• Background in janitorial industry and experience in using chemicals, equipment such as zero turn mowers, push mowers, snow blowers, floor buffers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
• Must pass background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Word & Excel a plus.
• Neat, clean personal appearance.
• Ability to work solo and/or in combination with co-workers.
