Janitor/Maintenance Technician - Highland Plaza Apartments Job at Highland Plaza
Highland Plaza Apartments located in Toms River, NJ is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team!
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the maintenance and janitorial functions of the building, including grounds and fixtures. Must have effective resident relations and resolution capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas including vacant apartments (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities including janitorial, painting, general maintenance skills including drywall repair. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience is a plus.
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Team player willing to help wherever needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven working experience as a maintenance tech background with janitorial experience
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- High school degree
- Be able to lift 50lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
