Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a core member of the IT department, and an employee responsible for organization-wide systems, information and network security, the successful candidate is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide direction for external IT managed services provider team members. Continually keeping upper management of aware of weekly status, roadblocks and risks that may impact business process.
- Obtaining and reviewing system audits to ensure standard practices are met and followed.
- Troubleshooting technology issues and provides Tier 3 level support; will provide Tier 1 and/or 2 level support as needed.
- Assists with onboarding and offboarding for employees.
- Running regular checks on network and data security, working with the external vendors to review and monitor.
- Identifying opportunities to patch, improve and update software and systems.
- Reviews current IT policy and best practice guides for the organization and in cooperation with Management and external vendor.
- Review of system audits to ensure standard practices are working.
- Assist with overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages. Working with external vendors to ensure successful implementation.
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support as needed. This includes service that exceeds reasonable response time, repair time, lack of parts or any other issue that could impact business process.
- Provide direction for IT Vendor team members. Continually keeping upper management aware of weekly status and roadblocks.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Active Directory and M365 required.
- Lead Network and Core infrastructure conversion experience a plus.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of technical or related experience is preferred. Relevant education may substitute technical experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repair laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience supporting handheld devices and/or mobile devices.
Other Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:
- Ability to travel to Protos Security and affiliates site locations; overnight stays required on some occasions.
- Strong Verbal and Written Skills
- Ability to explain product material to a variety of audiences at all levels of business.
- Flexible schedule for implementation of projects.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Maintain professional dress code and general appearance.
Travel:
- Travel is expected to be approximately 10%
