The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking an IT Business Systems Specialist/Coordinator. They will provide day to day support and coordination between the Business, the various IT teams (Lincolnshire, Novelis Regional and Global). The Coordinator is the first point of contact for all IT activities in the plant and has complete oversight of the IT environment at the plant and all related infrastructure.

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking an IT Business Systems Specialist/Coordinator. They will provide day to day support and coordination between the Business, the various IT teams (Lincolnshire, Novelis Regional and Global). The Coordinator is the first point of contact for all IT activities in the plant and has complete oversight of the IT environment at the plant and all related infrastructure.
The IT Business Systems Specialist/Coordinator leads support and growth initiatives for existing plant applications in-line with the NNA IT Business Engagement Manager, plant management and functional users. They will coordinate between multi-discipline IT teams in support of existing infrastructure. They will assemble business issues and will coordinate with the different areas of the NNA and Global IT organization to develop solutions.

Responsibilities include:
- The IT Business Systems Specialist/Coordinator supports existing plant applications including collaborate with regional/global systems, in line with the functional users, plant management, the NNA IT business analysts, and the NNA IT Manager and Business Engagement Manager. They will support existing infrastructure in line with the NNA IT Manager.
- The Coordinator will provide leadership, project management and ongoing support of existing specified business systems including troubleshooting, vendor liaison, user liaison and continuous improvement and will provide leadership, project management and ongoing support of development of new or replacement business systems, initiated both within the plant and from corporate initiatives.
- The IT Business Systems Specialist/Coordinator will assemble plant business requirements and help transfer the requirements to the regional IT Business Analysts. They will help identify technologies that may benefit the operation and work with regional and global IT teams to ensure proper fit and alignment. They will facilitate the roll-out in the plant of new IT processes and standards and will facilitate the roll-out in the plant of new business applications or new infrastructure as defined by the regional or global IT teams.
- Compiles project status reports, coordinates project schedules, handles project meetings, and identifies and coordinates efforts across local IT teams to resolve technical problems. Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.
- Ensure IT policies, standards and processes are properly implemented in the plant
- Helping to develop plant IT budget, IT dashboard and other IT reporting
- Responsible for plant information security
- Work with corporate IT assets to ensure the systems being supported are providing required functionality to the Novelis systems
- Work with software vendors to provide and improve support and service to active systems
- Work with plant automation resources to provide and maintain detailed and accurate data handling and reporting
- Access incidents and change requests at the plant level
- Participate in plant business meetings
- Handle day-to-day IT operations in the plant
- Implement IT processes (ITIL) in the plant as defined by regional team
- Track service level (SLA) and critical metrics for plant applications and infrastructure
- Coordinate with regional IT business analysts and regional IT manager
- Handle local IT team or local suppliers / contractors
- Communicate to plant business users relevant IT information
- Report IT critical metrics, spend and other IT dashboard information to IT Director.
- Develop IT budget, update forecast and record IT spend vs. budget for the plant
- Work with end users, providers and corporate to provide clear services from the systems being supported inclusive of innovative, flexible reporting and data handling
Qualifications
- BS degree Information Technology or Engineering preferred
- 2-5+ years experience in IT environments
- Experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
- Knowledge of Manufacturing 4.0 and leading trends preferred
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity practices and handling security incidents preferred
- Experience with Digital Analytics, data structures and Power BI reporting
- Knowledge of Digital Twins used in simulation of manufacturing processes
- Good technical skills around business applications, software, database
- Application development knowledge preferred
- Showed strengths surrounding infrastructure, servers, PC, local and wide area networks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate efficiently with business users and plant management at all levels
- Alignment to Regional and Global IT Standards
- Attention to details, focus on delivery end-to-end services to final users
- Ability to work in matrix structure and collaborate with regional teams
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and handle indirect resources
- Demonstrable ability to analyze and address problems collaborating with regional team
- English fluency, other languages a plus
