IT System Administrator
Mission
Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of network administration for complex on-premise and cloud applications. Recommends the redesign and configuration of network systems and network applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.
Outcomes
- Design, develop, and document virtual and physical network by working with end users, consults end vendors.
- Create test/sandbox environment to fully test all existing and potential new systems and applications
- Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
- Design dashboards for team members to monitor and manage 24/7 operations of the host computers system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Apply revisions to host systems firmware and software.
- Perform troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
- Document all network processes and procedures to ensure consistent reliability and security of all electronic data.
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical network resources.
- Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host and cloud based systems,
- Develop documentation and procedures for troubleshooting common end user problems.
- Stays current with technological developments in network administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology.

Other Requirements
- Experience with network solutions from Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Logic Monitor, as well as VoIP and virtualization services in an Enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of cloud services from AWS, Azure and Okta.
- Proven understanding of Microsoft networking technology including Domains, Trusts, Active Directory sites, Security, DDNS, IIS, LDAP, DHCP, Kerberos, GPO, DFS, File Shares, and Office 365.
- Working knowledge of computer networking, VLAN, LAN and WAN.
- Enterprise email systems.
- Enterprise backup and recovery systems.
- Firewall, antivirus and standard network security.
- Enterprise level Wi-Fi systems.
- General understanding of telecommunications theory and voice communications.
- HIPAA and HITECH Documentation.
Other Standard Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

- Must meet the pre-employment requirements including satisfactory completion of criminal background process, successful completion of drug screening, and successful completion of ppd process/chest x-ray/annual flu shot/Covid 19 vaccine.
- Must attend in-service training and other required educational programs.
- Must follow THAW’s policies and procedures during employment.
- Must be willing to take the suggested precautions and instructions provided by THAW to prevent illness or injury related to the potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants (including tobacco smoke), and hazardous chemicals.

- May be asked to use a personal vehicle for work purposes.
- May be asked to work beyond the normal working hours.
- May be asked to work temporarily in other positions.
- May be asked to report back to the Community after a shift during emergency conditions.
