The System Administrator’s role is to support and maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all company hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.

Essential Job Functions

· General hardware support – PC, servers, printers, phones, UPS, etc.

· On-site and remote end user Desktop and Workstation technical support, including investigating user problems and identifying their source

· Configure/procure desktop and laptop computers for ATC employees/projects.

· Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems

· Support IT infrastructure (wireless, servers, switches, etc.) and phone systems as needed

· Manage network file storage as directed by the IT manager.

· Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.

· Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase.

· Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.

· Disaster recovery planning and testing.

· User Provisioning administration, including but not limited to, Active Directory, Security Groups, Folder Access, and various cloud services.

· Maintain accurate IT hardware inventory of existing endpoints as well as end of life tracking.

· Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting and development of new scripts.

Position Requirements

· Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.

· Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.

· Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Strong customer-service orientation.

· Position requires sitting and or standing for extending periods of time

· Standing, walking, pushing or pulling a cart, reaching overhead, bending to the floor, and occasionally exerting 20 – 50 pounds of force as needed to perform job functions.

· Near vision acuity with or without accommodation

· Dell hardware experience is preferred.

· Have a security first focus.

· Have a desire to continually train and upgrade skills related to current and future technologies.

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in computer related field with at least 5 years of experience.

Professional certifications (Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP) are a plus.
