IT Support Technician Job at 4G Ventures
Laguna Beach Company is looking to hire an IT Support Technician II to join our team! We are a people first organization specializing in hospitality and event managagement; this role will support and solve all technological functions for all locations under this umbrella.
As an IT Support Technician II, you will diagnose repair and maintain hardware and software components. You will install and configure computer hardware and provide IT support for the organization. You will routinely interact with various departments and levels and listen to their technical needs and implement IT solutions to resolve.
An ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in computer science/engineering or relevant experience in the IT field. You must have experience troubleshooting systems and be skilled in database programming and software installation. You will be proficient with MAC and Windows OS and be familiar with a range of software and hardware. You must have a willingness to travel to client sites to complete daily work located within Laguna Beach, CA.
Responsibilities & Qualifications for IT Technician:
- Consulting with the COO and other departments as required.
- Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
- Resolving logged errors in a timely manner.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.
- Updating and maintaining computer software and databases; as well as upgrading hardware and systems.
- Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.
- 0-3 years of experience as an IT support specialist or IT related field.
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
- Proficiency in software, such as Microsoft Office & Adobe cloud services, O365
- Knowledge of POS Systems such as Aloha, Toast, NVR Silver.
- Knowledge of AV(audiovisual) Systems - Examples could be smart boards, projectors, displays, webcams, sound systems and other devices typically found in meeting rooms, conference rooms or event centers.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti hardware.
- IT Support Experience for Restaurants, Event Centers, and/or Hospitality
- Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 wiring, toning cables, network racks and wire management
- Ability to set up scaffolding and/or ladders in areas with high ceilings, lift 50+ lbs., sit, stand, crouch, squat for periods of time.
Salary: $25 - $32 an hour
