Explore Industries is seeking an IT Support Coordinator to join our team. This onsite position is in Knoxville, TN, on our Corporate and Manufacturing Island Campus.

The IT Support Coordinator will be responsible for administering and evaluating existing systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. They will serve as a primary IT Help Desk contact for North American end-users. Additionally, they will support new, progressive initiatives while collaborating within a global environment.

Our ideal IT Support Coordinator candidate will establish a strong on-site IT presence, ensuring prompt availability and support. deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a friendly demeanor, and proactively engage with key leadership to foster strong relationships and support.

Additional essential responsibilities of the IT Support Coordinator role include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate willingness and eagerness to learn and adapt, even when lacking immediate solutions, showcasing a proactive and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Perform network and PC troubleshooting to timely isolate, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  • Manage and continually evaluate user access rights to ensure established systems security.
  • Configure PCs for end-users and perform hardware and software installations, administration, and upgrades, and training.
  • Monitor and proactively make recommendations regarding network performance.
  • Evaluate and ensure data and systems are backed up and disaster recovery is functional.
  • Assist IT Leadership and help spearhead global IT projects.
  • Update documentation and end-users regarding technical changes within the organization.

Required Qualifications (We would like our talented IT Support Coordinator team member for this role to have at least these minimum skills & experience)

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or similar field or equivalent bootcamp certification
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience setting up and configuring hardware (Servers, printers, PCs, and IP CCTV).
  • Relevant systems administrative experience (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Synology NAS DS, VMware ESXI, and/or PBX).
  • Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, switches, routers, and AP)
  • Familiarity with OS management (Windows 10/11 Pro, MacOS, Windows Server 2016/2019) and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies .
  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills (We would be excited to hear if you also have the following experience)

  • Ubiquiti UniFi experience.
  • SolarWinds/N-able experience.
  • Veeam experience.
  • JIRA ITSM ticketing experience.
  • Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell or Batch Scripting) preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA Certifications preferred.
