JOB SUMMARY
The IT Specialist receives requests for IT/Informatics support, determines the nature and urgency of calls, and
initiates action to mitigate the issues/problems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receives and responds to phone/help desk software support requests.
2. Provides installation and general support for phones, computers, computer peripherals, loading/upgrading softwares,
troubleshooting, etc and associated applications.
3. Provides remote and/or on-site IT support to all systems using various tools.
4. Adds or deletes user accounts in Active Directory.
5. Guides users with concise and targeted step-by-step instructions.
6. Accesses and enters data in help desk software database as necessary for tracking and assignment purposes.
7. Maintains appropriate security and confidentiality of information created or encountered in the performance of assigned
duties according to HIPAA standards.
8. Follows all departmental regulations, policies and procedures.
9. Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years experience in IT field required, medical environment is preferred.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
Associate's degree required in information systems, equivalent combination of education and experience will be
considered.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Windows.
Knowledge of Radiology terminology and procedures preferred.
Ability to operate a variety of computer and communications equipment effectively.
Ability to communicate in a professional, concise, and courteous manner.
Ability to work independently with little supervision, and be capable of making routine decisions and able to manage
multiple tasks and activities on a daily basis.
Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical staff personnel, other clinical
and ancillary employees, and outside staff from referring physician offices.
This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with or
without corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance. This position may require lifting
50 plus pounds.
