Solution Delivery Manager – East Walpole,
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Solution Delivery Manager is responsible for the full systems development life cycle management of projects/programs and production support. Provides direction for technical and business resources. Actively participates in long-range strategy planning and manages policy development to address complex business issues, provides leadership to cross-functional teams. Recommends processes and tools to support the work of the team, including but not limited to requirements definition, development standards (code, reports, interfaces, etc); version control, and testing standards. Serves as the primary technical point of contact from project/program inception to delivery. Works with business unit managers and forms alliances on projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements/conflicts and vendor contract clarification. Manages and coaches a team of business system analysts and developers to assign work (project/support), coach on completing the work assignments, and provide development opportunities for them to further grow in their job roles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Key technical lead for projects involving all H&V enterprise business systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, TIPS MES, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.)
• Provide technical and functional support guidance to team members.
• Interfaces with vendors on technical support issues.
• Manage team to provide production support for enterprise business systems SAP, Oracle EBS, TIPS MES, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.) as well as for in-house developed programs, packages and reports.
• Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
• Guide the Business Systems Analysts to develop strong partnerships with business owners in order to understand the strategic direction, business process, and business needs and translate them into value- added information technology deliverables.
• Manage the work of developers, assisting them with the creation, testing and delivery of solutions that have been defined.
• Oversee and assist BAs and end users in testing activities. Manage test result tracking, defect remediation and retesting processes.
• Work with external vendor to outsource test automation for key systems (ex TIPS, SAP..etc)
• Partner with the PMO to develop the requirements for looking at technology vendors and evaluation of their capabilities
• Assisting in the evaluation of all company software and providing recommendations aligned to the company’s Business Technology strategy
• Ensuring all selected vendors comply with company data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
• Evaluate vendors to implement selected IT platforms (System Integrators)
• Coordinate with IT operations to evaluate all platforms and projects for new infrastructure , hardware, and / or network requirements
• Ensure all IT systems meet the data privacy requirements of H&V locations.
• Perform all work in a safe manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ten – fifteen years of proven results oriented work experience in IT ( in systems analysis and application development) and business/industry work experience.
• At least five years management/supervisory experience
• At least seven years experience in a leading or key contributor role in selection, implementation, and support of IT systems. Cloud based system experience preferred.
• Requires knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration
• Excellent communications skills.
• Proven decision making skills and the ability to defend those decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTS

• Must be able to travel to all H&V locations globally.
