IT Project Manager Job at Manson Construction Co.
Manage IT related contracts, purchase/work orders, vendors, projects, assets, and audits. Act as lead to the IT Help Desk Coordinator and first point of contact for the IT Department. Log helpdesk service requests, maintain the integrity of the IT Departments’ database, SharePoint site, and documentation, analyze and verify invoices for accuracy.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Helpdesk Supervisor duties:
- Act as:
- Lead to IT Help Desk Coordinator
- Administrator to the IT Director
- Purchasing agent for the IT department
- IT Department SharePoint site administrator
- Trainer for IT related systems
- First level problem identification and resolution resource, including answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, and follow-up to assist users in solving computer, printer or data processing problems.
- Provide continuous status information to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage software license tracking, compliance, and audits.
- Manage hardware and software asset life cycles
- Assist vendors with MSA processing and compliance
- Contract Management for IT related equipment and services
- Managing work orders with vendors
- Schedule with vendors the delivery of equipment and services
- Assist IT Director with creating and pulling reports from KACE
- Helps establish internal procedures for the IT Department
- Manage and keep current knowledge base articles, IT related documents and forms
- Manage IT Helpdesk tickets to ensure balanced workloads, escalation and closure
- Review invoices for accuracy and code to the appropriate GL code
- Log help desk calls and assign to best qualified and available technician.
- Keep IT Department database up to date, accurate and appropriate files up to date.
- Receives visitors to IT Department, determines nature of business, assist visitor or direct them to person that can assist them.
- Answers the telephone and relays messages to the appropriate party.
- Assist with the creation of procedural documentation for the IT Department.
- Perform routine typing, data processing, filing, or other routine clerical duties.
Project Manager duties:
- Act as project manager for IT related projects and helps determine and define projects scope and objectives
- Predict and manage resources needed to reach objectives in an effective an effective and efficient manner.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to
- provide project updates on weekly basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables,
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards through entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed as well as
- measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Conducting regular system audits
- Lead IT projects, including the design
- Other duties as assigned by the IT Director
- Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, support ethical decisions, and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts.
- Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field required
Minimum of 2 years of experience as IT helpdesk
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk coordinator or IT supervisor
3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager or related experience
Knowledge in auditing
Strong customer service skills
Ability to solve problems creatively
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, quality, and timeline.
Certifications desired:
CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Fundamentals
PMP or CAMP
Experience with the following tools is desired:
KACE or other ticketing systems.
SharePoint
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Project management tools
Email Communication
Data Visualization
Spreadsheets
Adobe Acrobat (Professional) and SharePoint strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position is primarily an office position, performs work at a desk. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) in order to conduct job site visits (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc.), and able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures.
