IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer Job at Manson Construction Co.
Responsible for the company’s Information Technology/Operations Technology security measures and compliance with CMMC, CCPA, and HIPAA. The IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer oversees the creation of the security infrastructure on cloud and om-prem, implements policies, procedures, and best practices, manages security audits, vulnerability, and threat assessments, and monitors the enterprise to detect and prevent intrusions. The IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer will create and execute strategies to improve the reliability and security of IT/OT projects and systems.
The IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer works independently and under the direction of the Director of IT using established procedures to ensure network security access and protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction.
The IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer must pay meticulous attention to detail with excellent technical and information security skills. They must be skilled at drafting security policies and training less technically skilled employees to be security conscious.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, additional duties may be assigned.
- Defining, Scoping, Creating, and executing of IT/OT Security strategies enhancing the reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of the systems, projects, and underlying data at the organization.
- Overseeing IT/OT Endpoint security engineers and teams that you are responsible for allocating resources to ensure that staff deliver secure and robust IT/OT solutions to any of the organization’s identified and agreed requirements.
- Overseeing planning and execution of necessary vulnerability audits, penetration testing, or forensic IT/OT audits and investigations. Ensure that outputs improve the organization’s IT/OT security.
- Ensuring compliance with any related legislation, such as NIST cybersecurity frameworks, CMMC, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO standards, or relevant government regulations.
- Developing and maintaining high-level technical design plans for the cloud security architecture.
- Assessing the security of related SaaS products and services.
- Providing training to staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical security advice.
- Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network security solutions and tools.
- Working with and acting as liaison with MSSP to ensure communication and functionality of security systems.
- Monitoring and controlling routine security evaluations.
- Applying principles and best practices of risk management to improve the IT/OT security and resilience of critical infrastructure.
- Implementing and maintaining a software security patch system.
- Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats.
- Developing, updating, and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans including restores.
- Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements.
- Monitoring the enterprise for suspicious behavior.
- Monitoring Active Directory user and computer accounts, groups, permissions, and privileges.
- Classifying and identifying the location of sensitive data.
- Creating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
- Configuring and supporting security tools such as anti-virus software, Netwrix, Mimecast, etc.
- Auditing and reporting on network security risk.
- Implementing network security policies, application security, access control, and corporate data safeguards.
- Defending systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction.
- Monitoring anti-spam and virus protection, end-point detection, and data loss protection.
- Researching and maintaining security patches.
- Maintaining SSL certificates.
- Ability to work remotely and stay actively engaged with the Cloud Security Architecture team
- Travel to meet the client engagement needs as well as internal team
- Working closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff.
- Planning and implementing future IT/OT developments and undertaking project work.
- Perform security assessments of Office 365 and related technology implementations
- Complies with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in computer-related science and a minimum of 10 years of experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years of increasingly diverse or complex experiences
3+ years of experience in administration and securing Microsoft 365 tenants and related technologies.
Hands-on experience of designing, implementing and managing M365 security tools, Protection, Archiving, Message Hygiene technologies.
1+ years on hands-on experience with Cloud identity and security technologies- Federation services, and Identity management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Computer-related certifications are preferred.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge of NIST 800-171, DFARS 252.204-70152, CMMC, CCPA, HIPAA, network fundamentals, Active Directory, CrowdStrike, Bomgar, Meraki Access Points, Mimecast, Datto, MS SharePoint, PowerShell, Microsoft /AWS Cloud environment, Office, Outlook, Visio, KACE 1000, KACE 2000, and AirWatch MDM, preferred.
Possesses a high degree of security knowledge around securing M365 and related components
Maintain a high degree of security competency around the M 365 platform
Deep technical understanding of Microsoft Ecosystem of cloud services, their inter-relationships and impact of systems and applications on the existing and future environment.
Ability to design and implement Microsoft and related Cloud technology solutions utilizing Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, EMS,MDM and other
Experience with the following tools desired:

SASE solution Zscaler
SIEM LogRhythm
Microsoft Cloud Technology
