- Lead the team in the architectural design, installation, and configuration of all future Oracle systems including EBS, Hyperion Financial Management, OBIEE, Database.
- Evaluate current environment and build roadmap for future state which may include on premise, SaaS, Cloud, or any combination.
- Manage a high-performing team through recruiting, selection, training, and development.
- Plan and coordinate the work of the support team, including after-hours support. Ensure reliable and secure 24x7 functioning of Oracle and related systems for use across the enterprise.
- Responsible for the overall preventative and proactive maintenance of the Oracle environment including patching, upgrades, monitoring, and other operations management activities.
- Develop key performance indicators and metrics for teams and drive continual improvement of metric results.
- Design, build and implement Oracle solutions to support business requirements. Drive automation and productivity necessary to stay competitive.
- Maintain a robust backup and disaster recovery strategy for Oracle in accordance with leading practices.
- Serve as the internal escalation point/referral point for technical issues and problems with the Oracle landscape.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to manage the Oracle infrastructure.
- Utilize deep Oracle technical expertise to guide project planning, prioritization, troubleshooting and resolution of complex Oracle technical issues.
- Maintain design documents and ensure alignment with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and other meaningful groups.
- Drive effective decision making within the team, including communication of decisions to appropriate partners and maintain vendor relationships.
- Supervise and talent development by mentoring, coaching for success, establishing performance expectations, and providing recognition.
