IT Network Engineer

Location: Athens, Georgia, United States

Full-time, partially remote

Responsibilities

• Quickly and efficiently provide preventive maintenance on servers and individual computers
• Provide local support for our customers' IT needs
• Work with other vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues
• Install hardware and software either from the office or on location
• Take/ respond to phone calls as soon as possible while at work or on-call
• Manage tickets, time records and customer documents in real time for efficiency and organizational purposes
• Comply with all company IT standards and our clients
• Create and update any documentation about work completed for our clients
• Any other duties that are expected of you to continue to provide the utmost in customer support and uphold the reputation of our business

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory
• Proficiency in LAN, WAN and WLAN as well as network security principles, network monitoring and maintenance, and capacity planning
• Strong problem-solving skills to offer appropriate solutions
• Highly organized and able to multi-task several ongoing projects
• Ability to respond promptly to customer questions and requests with strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently

Requirements

• Proficiency in all Microsoft mainstream products and software
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Server Administrator certification required after 90 days of hire
• Cisco Certified Network Professional or higher is a plus
• Any other industry standard certifications
• Physically able to lift servers for transport
• Valid driver's license and personal car
• Be versatile with your schedule with the flexibility to work some after-hours, weekends, and on- call in rotation with other IT engineers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Experience:

• Computer networking: 2 years (Preferred)
• Managed Service Provider: 1 year (Preferred)
