Position Detail:
MUST RESIDE within 1 hour of Burlington, MA

We are looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join our IT team for this hybrid remote/office position.

The new hire will provide deep technical support for FirstLight Power's Network and Security platforms. You will also architect, administer, and troubleshoot the corporate network environment to ensure FirstLight's IT goals are met.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Network and Security Management:

• Experience in Design, Implementation, troubleshooting corporate LAN/WANS to include remote site locations.
• Extensive work experience with Telephony, Firewalls, WIFI, Switches and Load Balancers.
• Strong hands-on experience with Firewall technologies. Implemented Security Policies using ACL, Firewall, IPSEC, SSL, VPN, IPS/IDS and corporate wireless technology.
• Expertise in L2- Ethernet, VLAN, SVLAN, Port Mirroring (Local Span), Policy configuration, IP Routing, NAT and MPLS.
• Experience and knowledge of redundancy protocol configuration like HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades.
• Hands-on implementing and supporting QoS for different services at different priorities.
• Troubleshoot LAN /WAN issues including third party provider's solutions.
• Ensure all changes to Network and security appliances are captured by systems change management process.
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of planning, organizing, and project management for System projects.
• Provide architecture direction to management for network and security platforms.
• Recommend Network and platform technology enhancements to improve Network performance, security and sustainability.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to formulate and develop or purchase and implement new and/or modified systems.
• Develop functional and technical documentation, procedures, and operating guides for Network systems and appliances.
• Administer and triage daily tickets.
• General support for FirstLight's technical platforms such as VMware , O365, AD, Cisco Networking products.

Job Qualifications / Skills

• Must have either Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Management OR an MSCE with 5 years' experience
• 7+ years of experience in Network engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance of Corporate environments including:
• Corporate wireless solutions
• Firewall technologies
• Cisco Networking products
• Network monitoring tools
• 3+ years' experience of following systems:
• VMWARE ESXi 6.x/ 7x, vSwitch, vSAN
• Telephony platforms
• Design implementation and maintaining IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of Scripting languages
• Knowledge of Active Directory
• ITIL foundation Certified.
• Prefer CCSA/CCSE
• Prefer Cisco Certified (CCNA) or (CCNP)
• Knowledge of energy trading or risk management a plus
• Familiar with SCADA networks a plus
• Must possess strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
• Will be part of an on-call rotation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to sit for prolonged periods throughout the day/work hours.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, copier, telephone, and the ability to write and/or type.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
