IT Infrastructure Project Manager Job at Rothman Orthopaedics
Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a highly-skilled project manager to provide PM expertise and oversight of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have technical/infrastructure project management experience as well as strong team building and project oversight skills. He/She will be expected to plan and coordinate project resources and processes, identify and mitigate risks, monitor progress, manage stakeholder communication and escalate issues/concerns to project leadership. He/She will prepare decision-making material for leadership while getting involved in the build integrations, from planning and design thru to delivery.
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Analyze business requirements and system profiles, and design computing infrastructure to meet a range of defined requirements.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Successfully navigate a highly matrixed organization, working across multiple departments.
- Develop comprehensive project plans. Maintain RAID and RACI documentation.
- Manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope and schedule in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders regarding progress, risks, strategy and adjustments.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize PMBOK best practices.
- Monitor day-to-day activities of the technical delivery team and ensure work is progressing as planned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, technology, business, or related field
- Knowledge of Infrastructure related items including Systems, Networks, Security and Support
- 5-8 years of project management and specific infrastructure PM experience
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle. Well versed in all areas of infrastructure - systems, networks, security and support
- Working knowledge of MS Office, process improvement, problem solving. Proven success working with all levels of management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in engineering or technology
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Administrator level knowledge of one or more, infrastructure systems, networks, security or support
- Working knowledge of SmartSheet
