PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Configures, installs, and maintains hardware and software, such as personal computers, system software, software applications, and printers.
  • Assist users as needed with hardware problems
  • Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs
  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Logs and tracks calls using problem management database, and maintains history records and related problem documentation.
  • Communicates with department managers/directors to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems
  • Places call to hardware vendor to request service on equipment in need of repair.
  • Performs minor repair of computer equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
