IT Associate Systems Administrator

Location: Broomfield, CO
ABOUT THE POSITION :
Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational goals and objectives. A typical day will consist of receiving/processing tickets in our IT ticketing system and either working on them remotely or going to the customer/user’s desk to fix whatever IT issue they have. These can be hardware failures/replacements, software installs or configurations, network and VPN troubleshooting, etc. This role will also be heavily involved in setting up computers and desk equipment for new hires and coordinating with HR and managers. Working tickets are the primary job duty in this role, but I will also assign certain tasks to help us accomplish larger projects/goals.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity/availability of hardware, server resources, systems/processes.
  • Utilize Cherwell ticketing system. Assists with the management of local and non-local support and service requests submitted by the users promptly.
  • Ensure end-user access to systems, services, servers, devices, and desktop/laptop computers.
  • Expand the usage of the endpoint management product (KACE, Workspace ONE) to deliver updates, manage inventory, and automate the delivery of applications.
  • Assist the Systems Administrator to configure and install VMware, Microsoft servers, and network equipment and security systems along with the installation of third-party software as part of a mixed server and Cisco networking infrastructure.
  • Facilitate collaboration efforts for support teams via hosted meetings, training sessions and shared documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Solid knowledge in Windows OS including 7, 8, 10
  • Solid Knowledge in Imaging and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
  • Basic knowledge in Windows server 2012, 2016, 2019.
  • Basic knowledge in TCP/IP and non TCP/IP protocols
  • Basic knowledge with installation and maintenance of network cabling
  • Ability to network/distribute computing concepts and client/server programming
  • Ability to perform hardware and software installations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in a technical field. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience in the installation and maintenance of operating systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual base hourly range: $54,000 - $60,000
  • Bonus target range: 5%
