Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Position Overview:

REFORM seeks an experienced and mission-driven individual with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude to serve as our IT Associate as a member of the organization’s Operations Team. This is a full-time position focused on assisting with IT support in our New York and Washington DC offices. The IT Associate will work closely and collaboratively with all of the staff at REFORM and be supervised by the Director, Information Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support for the organization
  • Identify problems, conduct research, documents appropriate solutions, organizes and prioritizes technical support cases and follows-up on outstanding cases until resolved
  • Onsite and Remote user support, this position may involve travel to our Washington, DC office
  • Provide tier 1 help desk support to staff and assist in technical projects.
  • Assist with vendor management, perform market and competitor research to update processes and identify new opportunities in software acquisition and development.
  • Assist in with IT project planning, development, oversight, and logistics.
  • Set up and configure MAC's, PCs, and local area networks, load software and ensure that the computer is operating to standards.
  • Assist with remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications to provide proactive system maintenance - respond accordingly through service tickets
  • Regular documentation entry and review
  • Communication with staff as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.
  • Assist in developing corporate standards for desktop computer software and hardware and conducting reviews to ensure compliance to standards
  • Assist HR with new employee on-boarding
  • Complete administrative tasks regarding office supplies, printer needs and shipping

Experience & Qualifications Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 2 years related experience or bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security or other related field.
  • Knowledge Networking concepts, routers and switches.
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

  • Advanced understanding of Operating Systems, business applications, printing systems, scripting, and network systems.
  • A+ Certification (or similar skills/knowledge) is a plus,
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, resolving, and supporting desktops, laptops, applications, phones and WIFI devices
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Knowledgeable in google workspace and Microsoft Office products.
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services
