IT Application Analyst Job at II-VI
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Implementation & Support of Business Applications and Business Intelligence Solutions
- Manage and support all business applications including IFS ERP, PowerApps and Business Reporting & Analytics solution across the A&D locations.
- Training existing and onboarding new employees in IFS functionality and processes.
- Responding to and resolving IFS issues and requests submitted through the Help Desk.
- Develops and executes system testing to ensure software quality.
- Develops and documents procedural and system documentation as appropriate for post-implementation support.
- Build and modify IFS reports to meet business requirements.
- Patch and upgrade applications as needed.
- Build and deploy security roles to meet audit and software license agreements.
- Systems Analysis – Leads the design and implementation of improvements to business processes and supporting application systems.
- Project Management – Develop and manage project plans for Information Technology Solutions. Meet project milestones, ensure completion of project deliverables, manage issue resolution and stakeholder communications.
- Provide timely support and service in accordance with department standards. Frequently communicate to users as to current status of problems/issues. Update documentation following resolution of problems
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in application software development, support and/or implementation of major ERP system, related databases and their associated tools
Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and financial reporting
- Knowledgeable of the key administration feature and development tools of IFS and other ERP systems as required.
- Knowledge of key BI and analytics concepts and technologies
- Knowledgeable in relational database technology, application programming and database administration, including the ability to write and analyze programs using SQL, scripting languages and Visual Basic.
- Experience with several computer operating systems, relational databases, development and reporting tools including MS Windows, Unix, Oracle, MS Office and MS Access, Crystal Reports, InfoPath Designer, TOAD Understanding of and compliance with Industry required security and confidentiality protocols including ITAR, CMMC, FedRAMP, etc.

- Job operates in a professional office environment
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Work in a cubicle area – must be able to work in environment where employees are on the phone / speaking causing potential distractions throughout the day.
- Noise level – Usually moderate
Physical Requirements
- Walk. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other employees accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Use hands/fingers to type/handle. Operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
