Position Description

The Inventory Systems Specialist is responsible for collecting, updating, and reconciling all inputs in our inventory tracking system. From providing updates to live inventory numbers, creating revenue recognition in the billing cycle, and monitoring creation and disposal of fixed assets, this role truly affects our entire business. Success in this role can lead to other opportunities within the inventory group and the larger organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze & reconcile inventory variances on a daily basis, issue periodic reports to inventory manager
  • Entry of inventory shipping information into company inventory system Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies and follow-up with an investigation to determine the root cause of the discrepancies
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve processes to become more efficient and productive
  • Assist with improving inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Resolve problems that may arise concerning inventory levels by interacting with Operations, Field personnel, as well as internal and external customers
  • Perform other special projects as directed by department manager and/or upper management
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory data for the entire organization

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and proficient in Excel
  • Must be experienced in a fast-paced, professional, customer service driven team environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret, work procedures, technical instructions and technical references is a plus.
  • Be able to make decisions & resolve conflicts
  • Must be detail-oriented & organized
