JOB MISSION:

The Inventory Supervisor, with guidance from the Inventory Manager, will supervise inventory operations and teams according to established policies. Following standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency regarding inventory planning, scheduling, and forecasting.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains an effective organization through development, training, motivation of all assigned personnel.
  • Utilize Inventory tools and Systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities
  • Evaluates daily workload to plan work assignments. Investigates causes of work delays taking appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensures and monitors that standards are being followed in the webbing, stockroom, material handling processes
  • Oversees chemical purchases, inventory, and documentation across multi locations.
  • Maintains all related files, documents, and tracking records for all areas of the department including inter-company shipments and submits end of month reports on schedule.
  • Develops and monitors scheduling opportunities based on factory performance to limit support impacts
  • Coordinates and processes international shipments, through WM, processing paperwork and communicating with traffic department on status of orders.
  • Oversees flow of paperwork – manifest, Bills of Lading to proper departments. Provides information to customers as requested (fax, mail, etc.)
  • May perform other duties as assigned or required.
  • Monitors and manages attendance and overtime of associates through the daily updating/processing of E-time (payroll system).

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Requires high school diploma and 3 to 5 years of leading people and teams to high performance. College degree preferred.
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and in writing.
  • Understands and believes in New Balance Core Values.
  • PC skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in shoe making process or similar manufacturing process: commitment to learn and practice TPS principles and all NB Lean programs preferable.

Must be able to lift heavy objects averaging 35 lbs daily.
