Position Summary

The Inventory Control Manager will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle and processes/procedures. This position will perform tasks involved in receiving, storing, and overall inventory control of electronic components and parts, to include verification of goods received against Purchase Orders (PO’s), maintaining records of received goods, and condition of parts and packages for final stockroom storage. Other responsibilities include managing and ensuring daily inventory cycle counts and annual full physical inventory verifications are complete and accurate, processing and transacting kits (parts issuance), and transferring parts within the stockroom and inventory system.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Hire, train, and manage Inventory Control staff.
  • Oversees the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
  • Collaborates with Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and Finance staff to effectively manage inventory control and facilitate production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Perform all related data input requirements necessary to comply with inventory recordkeeping.
  • Perform, regulate, coordinate, and expedite the physical movement of material throughout the Company to maintain production schedules.
  • Receive, verify, sort, store, move, and ship materials, parts, tools, assemblies in and out of locations and facilities as assigned.
  • Pick and pack of product or materials, quality check of outbound and inbound orders for accuracy, process parts for shipping, process returns, and conduct daily physical cycle counts as directed to include receiving of incoming orders as well as process parts transfers between projects.
  • Determine the sequence of physical movement of material to meet schedule requirements and perform related recording of each inventory transaction in a timely fashion per established inventory processes.
  • Take necessary corrective action to identify, trace and reconcile inventory errors, and prevent and/or cure shortages, delays, or inaccurate inventory data. As required, update or correct information system records and provide data to cognizant departments/or individuals.
  • Maintain electronic information system records and/or manual records necessary to show status of any material or job in assigned area at any time.
  • Utilize warehouse/inventory management information systems and equipment and related scanning/barcode technology as required.
  • Obtain and maintain warehouse/inventory information system training and certifications as required.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years relative experience in an inventory/stockroom environment and ERP systems, and 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Basic computer and software skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with Flowtrac Inventory System and/or Unanet is desired.
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excels in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Salary Range

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00

However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
