1st ShiftABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Production/Shipping/Scheduling, this role will maintain an accurate inventory of materials in the facility by working directly with Receiving/Shipping and Purchasing, verifying sufficient inventory for production using the inventory system, reconciling, and reporting to management.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute material verification Based upon information provided by the Plant Scheduler and Production Supervision.
- Material Expediting between warehouses when needed .
- Responsible for clearing of production lines and transporting product back into inventory
- Validating material movement transactions
- Maintain continuous and accurate cycle counting of the facility
- Coordinate cycle counting with forklift drivers on shift
- Maintain monthly inventory of designated supplies, pallets, work-in-process product, and finished goods
- Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory when required
- Take ownership of inventory of stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, and any materials needed
- Verify open stock and materials that are on order
- Direct monthly product inventory, perform verifications, and keep spreadsheets up to date
- Understand and utilize the FIFO methodology
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

High School Diploma or Equivalent

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
At least two or more years related experience with inventory control and/or combination of education and experience
At least two or more years related experience with inventory control and/or combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to work on a alternate shift as needed
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
- Ability to lead a group of employees to safely perform their tasks and to develop their job-related abilities
- Detail-orientated and accurate demeanor
- Ability to properly handle confidential information and records
- Ability to interpret instructions, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
- Demonstrate responsibility and ownership of inventory or outside materials under his/her/their responsibility
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
