Inventory Analyst Job at Vitro Flat Glass LLC
Overview:
Vitro is looking for an inventory Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing accuracy and maintaining correct inventory for production and service to our customers.
Collaborate with demand and supply planning in the design and execution of constrained need product allocations- Engage in the development and execution of inventory related solutions and innovations
- Use inventory software to keep accurate material inventory numbers
- Look ahead based on forecast on available inventory
- Analyze accuracy and maintain/correct, when possible, inventory used for production and service
- Collaborate with on-site facility management staff on initiatives
- Participate in the development and maintenance of inventory related SOP’s and KPI’s
- Collaborate with the supply chain teams and customer facing teams to assure communication and support.
- Identify opportunities for reducing inventory levels
- Report metrics related to demand and Inventory planning on a daily basis
- Develop consistent inventory business optimization process/tools and inventory target setting process for our global stocking networks to improve customer service levels and financial performance
- Utilize inventory modelling techniques and tools
- Generate and publish inventory reports and performance metrics to key stakeholders and area leaders
- Enhance and support the monthly safety stock re-setting calculations with Hub Manufacturing sites by close coordination with material management teams and/or Divisions
- Assist with the resolution of slow-moving inventory and seek improvements to prevent recurrence
- Participate in cross-functional projects in developing/enhancing new tools, policies, and objectives in the Inventory Planning Area
- For new initiatives and identified issues gather the required detail information, perform in depth analysis, and recommend to the manager the appropriate approach/actions to resolve issues
- Liaising with all levels of management across many different functional departments
- Broad training in a related field acquired through a bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, statistics, supply chain, and another quantitative analysis heavy discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inventory/data analyst role preferred
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
- Demonstrated proficiency in analysis and data use
- Ability to perform tasks successfully with minimum guidance and short timelines
- Strong Analytical skills
- Must be willing to travel to a Vitro plant 1x per quarter, Q1: Carlisle, Q2: Wichita, Q3: Fresno, Q4: Salem and each visit will be for five business days. The plants are located in Carlisle, PA, Wichita Falls, TX, Fresno, CA and Salem, OR
