Wraparound Experts, LLC will help children succeed mentally, emotionally, and academically by providing resources to the children themselves and training and support to the environments and people that interact with them daily.

Wraparound Experts provides a variety of services to meet the needs of children and families in schools and homes. This includes behavioral, mental health, and diversity training for children, teachers, and families as well as experts within the school environment. We establish coordination that utilizes training and therapies to enhance the overall wellness of not only the child individually, but the systems in which the child operates.

JOB SUMMARY

Wraparound Experts is currently seeking a qualified Intervention Specialist(s) to join our growing team for the 2023-2024 school year throughout the Cleveland and surrounding area. The Intervention Specialist is responsible for assisting children with special academic, social, and behavioral needs in schools and other educational settings. They will be responsible for designing, executing, and assessing programs based on different factors including gender, cultural background, and age. The intervention specialist will work with parents and teachers to design and implement individualized programs that best fit the child’s situation. The specialist is responsible for making and maintaining informed observations, records of children's performance, and lesson plans for students. An intervention specialist is also responsible for adhering to individualized education programs (IEPs).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in education is required
• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist licensure in K-8, Alternative SPED License, Supplemental SPED License
• Successful experience working with children in an academic environment
• Knowledgeable in state and federal special education law
• Collaborative, constructive team building skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works cooperatively with classroom teachers; interprets the skills and needs of students, assists in classroom intervention strategies, modifies general education curricula as necessary, and assists students with regular class assignments
• Monitors the progress of caseload - maintains records and communicates with parents and teachers of student progress
• Conducts diagnostic assessments for instruction
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
• Writes and implements behavior improvement plans
• Facilitates IEP meetings and writes IEP goals and objectives
• Utilizes research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction
• Integrates culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues
• Works with a team to help identify the best practices for individual students and groups of students

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
