Job Purpose

We are hiring for a bi-lingual Clinical Specialist for Miami, FL to work for the division of Latin America (including the Caribbean Islands). This position will be part of the existing Product Team and responsible for supporting the achievement of sales, both traditional and specialty products (i.e. DBE, EUS) as well as the implementation, education and support of clinical applications for business partners and customers. This is a position that requires up to 40% travel (internationally). The role may involve supporting sales colleagues on client visits or assisting in an onsite service training (but will focused on clinical education). This individual will be involved in Product/ Marketing Projects and will have direct contact in working with physicians. Finally, the Clinical Specialist will provide education and training to Company personnel, customers, and sales partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Physicians in Clinical and/ or Marketing Projects.
  • Assist in sales team in providing clinical/ product support to distributors, and/ or customers.
  • Support the clinical demonstration process by assisting product/ or sales personnel as directed.
  • Lead the pre-demonstration (pre-demo) process required to ensure that a successful clinical demonstration process occurs.
  • Be a primary resource for the training of customers on the proper use of equipment in the clinical setting (including training of Cleaning and Disinfection of endoscopes)
  • Be a primary resource for educational materials in the field.
  • Work in conjunction with the Product & Marketing Team in the on-going development of required educational resources for the customer, Product, Sales, or Field Service Team
  • Support the training of Product/ Clinical Specialists of our business partners when requested.
  • Perform as the field-based experts on proper reprocessing techniques for use by its customers.
  • Support of KOL customers as directed.
  • Provide weekly and/or monthly reports to management as directed.
  • Provide and maintain customer data for integration into a future database application.
  • Attend local, regional, and national trade shows as requested.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing, business, marketing, or related quantitative disciplines preferred, plus a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience desired.
  • Must be bi-lingual (read, write, and speak) in Spanish and English. (also, Portuguese would be a plus)
  • Operate a computer effectively and efficiently, including MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in use of “Microsoft Outlook” and other email applications.
  • Able to professionally communicate with internal and external customers/ business partners
  • Effectively manage time and regional budget requirements
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to write reports and relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritize customer requirements.
  • Ability to speak in front of small groups of people.
  • Ability to speak professionally and relay technical information.
  • *(Previous Nursing Experience, and/ or clinical experience as a representative with accessories or medical devices is preferable)

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
