International Diplomacy Officer

The contractor will work in conjunction with all components of ENR and other offices at State, other U.S. Government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations, and will be responsible for the following:

• Engage with other government agencies to analyze PRC's domestic energy needs and objectives.
• Engage with and provide analysis on PRC's third country engagement.
• Evaluate policy initiatives and provide policy recommendations relating to engagement with PRC on clean energy, energy security, and bilateral energy trade.
• Work to implement the USGs energy engagement guidance and energy engagement with the PRC, working closely with interagency stakeholders and partners.
• Maintain expertise and professional contacts, evaluate policy options, and conduct written and oral reporting to policymakers, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Additional work may include engaging with partner countries to agree on shared policy objectives.

Minimum Qualification

• Must posses a current active Top Secret security clearance to be considered
• Masters degree or equivalent required with 6 years of related experience.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
